Offering an ethnic, comic, vintage postcard from the early 1900's.
This antique postcard jokes about the Dutch accent and features a lonely boy on a bench who wants to do some kissing but the girl is missing. He wears the wooden shoes and ethnic hat and clothes of Holland. Minnesota was settled mainly by immigrants from Scandinavia, Norway, Germany and Holland, so this would have been very funny and very understood at the time.
The postcard measures 3 1/2" X 5 1/2". There is a hand written letter at the back and a postmaster ink stamp dated 1912 and a George Washington 1 cent postage stamp.
My postcards are all originals from the time stated and NOT reproductions. Shipping: U.S. 2.00 and International 3.00.
This postcard has no tears or stains. The printing of it seems a bit blurred and there is just a brush of dark color on the front from the original ink when mailing, I think.
